Creating and Managing Alerts
Alerts notify you when award availability opens or pricing changes for the routes you care about. You can create and manage alerts from your account dashboard.
Creating alerts
To create an alert:
- Go to the top menu and select Alerts, then click Create alert
- Choose your alert type
- Fill in your alert details
-
Click Create alert

Choose your alert type
- One-off alert → Sends a notification once when your criteria is met, then stops
- Continuous alert (Pro) → Stays active and notifies you multiple times as availability changes
Fill in your alert details
You can customize alerts using the following fields:
- Route (origin and destination)
- Dates or date range
- Cabin (economy, business, first)
- Mileage programs
- Filters (max points, max fees, stops, airlines, arrival time, etc.)
Note on programs and filters
Alerts are based on supported airline and program combinations, not just the program you select.
- You may receive alerts for the same flight across multiple programs
- Selecting a program does not strictly limit results to that program
- Not all airline and program combinations are supported
Filters like arrival time help narrow results, but they don’t change which combinations are available.
Arrival time filter
You can filter alerts by arrival time to narrow results based on when you land (for example, avoiding very early or late arrivals).
This works alongside your other filters and is best used to refine results once you’ve set your route and program preferences.
Managing alerts
To manage your alerts:
- Go to Alerts in your dashboard
- View your active alerts
- Edit, pause, or delete alerts as needed
From here, you can:
- See all active alerts (grouped if created together)
- Modify alert criteria
-
Delete alerts you no longer need

Managing multiple alerts
You can create multiple alerts for different routes, dates, and strategies.
Tips:
- Use specific alerts for trips you’re ready to book
- Use broader alerts to monitor long-term opportunities
-
Group alerts logic
ally (for example, by destination or trip)
What triggers an alert
An alert triggers when seats.aero detects availability that matches your selected criteria.
Notifications are sent via:
- Push notifications (mobile app)
- SMS (Pro, where supported)
Pro tip
Pro members unlock additional flexibility, including:
- Advanced filters (including arrival time)
- Continuous alerts
- SMS notifications
- Ability to manage larger sets of alerts
Final note
Alerts are designed to help you stay on top of availability, but they work best when combined with manual search.
If something doesn’t behave the way you expect, it’s often due to how different airline programs access award availability rather than an issue with the alert itself.
