Why are my search results empty or missing airlines?

If your search looks empty or you don’t see an airline you expected, here are the most common reasons and what you can do:

1. No Saver Award Space

  • Many airlines only release “saver” level awards to partners.
  • If only standard or dynamically priced awards are available, they won’t appear on Seats.aero.

👉 Check on the airline’s own site to see if saver awards exist for your route.

2. Program or Status Restrictions

Some award seats are only visible to:

  • Members with elite status,
  • Holders of a specific airline credit card, or
  • The airline’s own loyalty program members.

👉 If you don’t meet these requirements, the seats won’t show up anywhere outside the airline.

3. Airline Coverage

Seats.aero supports dozens of airlines, but not all programs yet.

👉 If the airline isn’t listed in the Program selector, it isn’t currently supported.

4. Search Window Limits

  • Free users can search up to 30 days ahead.
  • Pro users unlock 60+ days and faster refreshes.

👉 If you’re searching too far out as a Free user, you may not see results until you upgrade to Pro.

5. Technical or Timing Quirks

Award availability changes constantly:

  • Seats can disappear minutes after showing.
  • Some airlines only release results at certain times of day.
  • Cached results may take a few hours to refresh.

👉 Pro users benefit from faster update cycles.

✅ What to Try Next

  • Adjust your dates or search nearby airports.
  • Try a one-way search instead of round-trip.
  • Use the airline’s own site to double-check.
  • Set up an alert so we notify you when availability opens.
