Why are my search results empty or missing airlines?
If your search results look empty or you’re not seeing an airline you expected, there are a few common reasons.
1. No Saver Award Space
Many airlines only share “saver” level award seats with partners. If only standard or dynamically-priced awards are available, they may not appear in Seats.aero.
2. Program or Status Restrictions
Some award space is restricted to:
- Members with elite status
- Holders of a specific airline credit card
- The airline’s own loyalty program
If you don’t meet those conditions, you won’t be able to see or book those seats.
3. Airline Coverage
Seats.aero supports dozens of airlines, but not all programs yet. If an airline isn’t listed in the program selector, it’s not currently supported.
4. Search Window Limits
Free users can search up to 30 days at a time, while Pro users can search 60+ days. If you’re looking too far out, results may not show unless you’re on Pro.
5. Technical or Timing Quirks
- Award availability changes constantly — a seat shown earlier might disappear minutes later.
- Some airlines only load results at certain times of day.
- Cached results may take a few hours to refresh (Pro users get faster updates).
What to Try
- Adjust your dates or try nearby airports.
- Run a one-way search instead of round-trip.
- Check the airline’s own site to confirm.
- Set up an alert so you’re notified when availability opens.
