Why did flights disappear after I refreshed?
Award space is dynamic and can change minute-to-minute. If results vanish after a refresh, one of these likely happened:
Common reasons
- Someone booked the seats before your refresh.
- Airline pulled back inventory (happens often close to departure).
- Cached → live change: A fresh check showed different availability than the earlier cached snapshot.
- Filters hiding results: Nonstop-only, specific cabins, airlines/programs, or tight duration limits can remove matches.
- Married-segment logic changed: Some airlines only release space when specific segments are booked together; a re-check may break that combo.
- Dynamic-price filter kicked in: If a program repriced an award above our threshold, we’ll hide it to avoid showing unusable options.
- Session/timeouts on airline side during validation.
Quick fixes
- Run a Live search (or confirm on the airline site) to see what’s bookable right now.
- Widen the search: add nearby airports, expand dates, allow connections, or relax cabin/airline filters.
- Re-run with fewer filters to rule out hidden results.
- Set an alert so we’ll notify you if those seats (or similar) return.
Important
- Always confirm before transferring points—availability can change between checks.
