Using Passkeys to Log In (PRO)

A faster, one-click way to access your seats.aero account—no email codes needed.

Passkeys let you log into seats.aero instantly using your device’s built-in authentication (Face ID, Touch ID, Windows Hello, or your password manager). They’re more secure than passwords and eliminate the need to wait for magic-link emails.

Passkeys are available for PRO users.

What is a passkey?

A passkey is a secure, password-less login method based on WebAuthn, a modern authentication standard supported by most major devices and browsers.

When you use a passkey, your device verifies that you are you (Face ID, fingerprint, or device unlock), and then logs you in to seats.aero. No passwords, no magic links, no codes.

Which devices support passkeys?

Passkeys work on most modern devices, including:

  • iPhone / iPad (Face ID or Touch ID)
  • Mac (Touch ID or iCloud Keychain)
  • Windows (Windows Hello)
  • Android (Biometrics or screen lock)
  • Password managers like 1Password and Dashlane, which sync passkeys across all your devices

If a device does not support WebAuthn, the passkey option simply won’t appear.

How do I create a passkey?

You’ll see the option to create a passkey right after logging in normally (via email code) as a PRO user.

  1. Log in to your seats.aero account using your email.
  2. A message will appear offering the option to Create a passkey.
  3. Confirm using your device’s built-in authentication (Face ID, Touch ID, Windows Hello, etc.).
  4. That’s it—your passkey is saved.

Once set up, you’ll see Sign in with a passkey when visiting the login page.

How do I log in with a passkey?

On the login screen, choose:

Sign in with a passkey

Your device will prompt you to authenticate. Once you do, you’re logged in instantly—no waiting for email codes.

Where is my passkey stored?

Your passkey is always stored locally on your device or in your password manager. It never leaves your device and is never stored by seats.aero.

Depending on your setup, passkeys may sync securely with:

  • iCloud Keychain (Apple devices)
  • Google Password Manager (Android/Chrome)
  • 1Password / other passkey-enabled password managers

This makes it easy to log in across multiple devices.

Can I use multiple passkeys?

Yes. You can create a passkey on:

  • your laptop
  • your phone
  • your password manager

All of them will log you in.

What if I lose the device with my passkey?

No problem. You can always log in with your email again and create a new passkey afterward.

Passkeys are optional and never replace your existing login method.

Troubleshooting

The “Sign in with a passkey” button isn’t showing up.

Your device or browser may not support WebAuthn, or you may not have created a passkey yet.

Try logging in normally first to see the option to create one.

My password manager isn’t offering a passkey.

Make sure you’re using a passkey-enabled version of your manager (e.g., 1Password 8+).

I created a passkey but it’s not syncing to another device.

Sync depends on the platform:

  • Apple devices use iCloud Keychain
  • Chrome/Android uses Google Password Manager
  • 1Password syncs passkeys across logged-in devices

If you want cross-platform access, creating a passkey inside 1Password is usually easiest.
