Installation
How do I install the extension?
Install the seats.aero extension from the Chrome Web Store, then pin it to your browser toolbar for easy access. Once installed, visit Google Flights and search as you normally would. When award data is available, the extension displays points pricing alongside cash fares.
Which browsers are supported?
The extension is available for Google Chrome and other Chromium-based browsers that support Chrome extensions, such as Microsoft Edge and Brave.
Firefox and Safari are not supported yet, but we plan to support additional browsers in the future.
Do I need a seats.aero account?
You can use the extension without signing in to access free features. To access Pro features, sign in with your seats.aero Pro account.
Do I need Pro?
No. The extension works for both Free and Pro users.
Free users can view cached award results for searches up to 60 days into the future. Pro users who are signed in get access to live searches when available, results beyond 60 days, and more award availability.

How do I uninstall it?
Open Chrome's Extensions page, find the seats.aero extension, and select Remove.
You can also click the Extensions icon to the right of the Chrome address bar, select the menu next to the seats.aero extension, and choose Remove from Chrome.
Using the Extension
How do I use it?
Search for flights on Google Flights as you normally would. When award data is available, the extension displays points pricing directly beneath the cash fare.
Which Google Flights pages does it work on?
The extension works on Google Flights search results pages and Google Flights itinerary pages.
Why don't I see points prices?
The extension only displays award pricing when seats.aero has award data for that itinerary. Not every flight has award availability, and not every airline or loyalty program is currently supported.
If no award data is available, no points price will be shown.
Free users may also see fewer results because Free searches use cached data and are limited to searches within 60 days.
How long does it take to load?
Results usually appear within a few seconds, though some searches may take longer depending on the route, date, supported programs, and your connection.
Can I temporarily disable the extension?
Yes.
To temporarily disable it:
- Open Chrome and go to
chrome://extensions/. - Find the seats.aero extension.
- Toggle the extension off.
This disables the extension without uninstalling it. You can turn it back on anytime by returning to the same page and toggling it on again.

Points Pricing
Where does the points price come from?
seats.aero displays award pricing and availability from supported airline and frequent flyer programs. The extension uses the same award data available on seats.aero to show relevant points pricing alongside Google Flights results.
Why is the points price different from what I see on the airline website?
Award pricing and availability can change frequently, especially for airlines that use dynamic pricing. The airline or loyalty program website is always the final source of truth for current pricing, availability, taxes, and fees.
Why do I see multiple mileage programs?
Some flights can be booked through multiple loyalty programs. The extension shows available options so you can compare programs and choose the one that works best for you.
How often is the data refreshed?
The extension uses the same award data available on seats.aero. Pro users can access live searches when supported, while Free users see cached results that are refreshed regularly.
Why are you showing one-way prices on a round-trip search?
Many loyalty programs price awards one direction at a time. For that reason, the extension shows award pricing on a per-direction basis, including for round-trip searches.
Free vs. Pro
What's included for free?
Free users can view cached award pricing for searches up to 60 days into the future.
What extra do Pro users get?
Pro users who are signed in unlock more award options, including live award searches when supported, results beyond 60 days, and additional search capabilities.
Why do Pro users see more results?
Pro users can run live searches against supported programs, which may find award availability that is not present in cached data.
Why don't I see flights more than 60 days out?
Searching beyond 60 days requires a Pro subscription.
Troubleshooting
The extension isn't showing up.
Make sure the extension is installed, enabled, and pinned in Chrome. Then refresh your Google Flights page and try your search again.
It's stuck loading.
Try refreshing the page. If the issue continues, disable and re-enable the extension, restart your browser, or try the search again in a new Chrome window.
I'm seeing outdated prices.
Award pricing can change frequently. The airline or loyalty program website is always the final source of truth for current pricing and availability. Pro users can refresh results with live searches when supported.
Does it work in Incognito?
Yes, but only if you've enabled Incognito access.
To enable it:
- Go to
chrome://extensions/. - Select the seats.aero extension.
- Turn on Allow in Incognito.
Can other extensions interfere?
Yes. Ad blockers, privacy extensions, or other travel extensions may interfere with how the extension appears on Google Flights. If you run into issues, try temporarily disabling other extensions and refreshing the page.
Privacy
What data does the extension access?
The extension only accesses the information necessary to display award pricing on Google Flights and provide extension features.
Does the extension access my Google account?
No. The extension does not access your Google account.
Is any personal information stored?
The extension only uses the information needed to authenticate your seats.aero account and provide extension features.
Miscellaneous
Does it support hotels?
Not at this time. The extension currently supports flights only.
Will it work outside Google Flights?
Not currently. The extension is designed to work on Google Flights.
Is Firefox, Edge, or Safari support planned?
